Copper Sculptures - Mel Wallis

Mel Wallis has been a sculptor for many years, and has always been influenced by nature and natural forms.
He was born and raised close to the River Orwell, and has always lived by water and the countryside. He was constantly drawn towards driftwood that was washed up along the Essex and Suffolk coastline, having been shaped by the wind and tide.
Blending the wood with other materials to make new organic shapes, brings together elements of land and sea to complete the cycle.
Some examples of Mel's work are shown below.  Do check the website shop for some of what is currently available.
