I retired from a busy career as a university employed Nurse Academic in 2016, which provided the opportunity to fully explore my creative skills. I take inspiration from many sources in everyday life and find that techniques employed in other crafts transfer well, using glass as a medium. Handcrafted fused glass provides a personal and unique product.
I use a specialist art glass for my designs and the journey through creation and kiln forming processes is a beautiful scientific and artistic achievement every time. Opening the kiln is always a magic moment. I create each piece with loving attention and hope that my clients enjoy the pieces as much as I do creating them.
My studio is located in Bicknacre, Essex, from where I also provide Fused Glass Workshops for groups of up to six people. I have many years' experience as a teacher and hold professional qualifications in teaching both adults and children.
