Potential New Artists and Makers at Brett Gallery

Suzanne and John are often asked about what is required for someone to be selected to exhibit in their Gallery.  Firstly, they mainly support artisans from the East Anglian region, although one exhibitor is permitted per genre from elswhere in the UK.  Currently such external slots are filled by pottery, jewellery and wall art.  They have an overall wildlife and landscapes theme though are always open to consider other quality subjects.  Aspiring exhibitors should be creating work that is seen as affordable, say currently up to a maximum of £500 and would normally expect you to have some selling experience e.g. at local shows and exhibitions.

They are well known for consistently paying promptly after charging a modest commission compared to many galleries and they have managed, so far, to maintain the same level as when they took on the Gallery over 5 years ago. Their approach to changes of Exhibitors is with common sense and as much flexibility as possible given seasonal trends, sales history and feedback from visiting customers.  Displaying with them is underpinned by a straight forward Agreement.  Approximatley 80% of contributors have been able to stay at Brett Gallery for a long time, changing their work on a fairly regular basis.

If you are interested in applying please write to us through the Contact Form on the website or e-mail to one of the following two addresses:-

Your application should include name and address of the individual or business, subject, medium, sales history locations and price range.  Some images of work would be preferred together with Facebook/Instagram/Web Site links as may be appropriate.  Once reviewed, everyone would be advised and, if successful, invited to meet Suzanne and John at the Gallery bringing some of their work.  Such a chat would be informal and of mutual benefit.
